Trending Album 2021 Gucci Mane Ice Daddy Album Review And Tracklist

Gucci Mane declared his new collection Ice Daddy would show up on Friday (June 18) recently. The 1017 Records manager got back with more insights about the task by means of Instagram on Wednesday (June 16) with the tracklist and the subtitle, "Large GuWop Dropping new collection Tomorrow night #IceDaddy pre save interface in bio."

As commonplace for a Gucci Mane collection, the 17-track project is an elegant issue with commitments from 2 Chainz, E-40, Young Dolph, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Project Pat and that's only the tip of the iceberg. Yet, maybe one of the additional charming joint efforts comes from Gucci Mane, the as of now imprisoned Pooh Shiesty and Sir Mix-A-Lot who collaborate for the suitably named "Gang On Bouldercrest."

Truly, it doesn't have a similar ring to it's anything but A-Lot's unique "Force On Broadway" did in 1988, however in any case it's a fitting respect to the veteran MC.

“Posse On Broadway” comes from Sir Mix-A-Lot’s debut album Swass, four years before his breakthrough hit “Baby Got Back” would make its way to the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Originally released on NastyMix and re-released on Rick Rubin’s label Def American Recordings, the album introduced the Hip Hop world to the colorful storytelling of the Seattle-bred rapper and quickly earned platinum status from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) thanks to “Posse On Broadway,” “Rippin” and “Square Dance Rap.”

The Broadway in the song refers to a street in Seattle’s Capitol Hill district on which the Mix-A-Lot Posse got “lots of good grip from the 50 series tires.” The track itself is about exactly what the title suggests — Sir Mix-A-Lot and his posse go cruising down Broadway and run into all kinds of shenanigans.

Last year, Gucci Mane introduced the world to the roster of his record label, The New 1017, with the So Icy Gang Vol. 1 compilation, foregoing a new album release for himself for the first time since 2016. While that time wasn’t exactly lost — So Icy Gang Vol. 1 slingshot group members Foogiano and Pooh Shiesty into stardom — Gucci’s making up for anyway, announcing the surprise release of his first solo full-length since 2019, Ice Daddy. The project is apparently named in honor of the recent birth of Gucci’s son with Keyshia Ka’oir, who appears on the project’s cover and is listed as executive producer.
